On the handling of personal information
Our corporate mission is to create chance meetings and inspiration for people all over the world and to meet the challenge of realizing a happier society. To achieve this goal in the travel industry, we will continue to create stories full of emotion, laughter and trust.
We understand that protection of your personal information and that of all others involved with the company is an important issue, and in addition to doing the utmost to protect personal information in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in the Administrative Procedure, and the Guidelines for the Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information (for private entities) established by Japan as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) established by the EU, and other laws and regulations, we make the following efforts in order to achieve this:
1. Acquisition and use of personal information
We collect, use, and disclose personal information in an appropriate manner and in consideration of the content and scope of the business activities involved. Personal information is collected upon specifying the purpose of its use and obtaining explicit consent when necessary. We also keep our personal information management system upgraded and take safety measures so that the purpose of the use of personal information is not exceeded.
2. Management and protection of personal information
Personal information is stringently managed and we never disclose, provide, or transfer personal information to a third party unless we obtain consent from the customer or are required to do so by law. We also take safety measures and corrective steps based on company regulations to prevent the leaking, loss, or damage of personal information.
3. Compliance with laws and standards
We comply with the laws, guidelines, and other standards set forth by the Japanese government concerning the personal information that we hold.
4. Responses to complaints / inquiries
We have a system and set of procedures with which we can accept and respond to inquiries and complaints concerning the personal information that we hold, and respond immediately.
5. The constant improvement of the framework and structure of our protection of personal information.
